My Story

My journey to founding Divine Vine Institute, LLC began long before I earned my degree in Educational Psychology. It began as a student who struggled to learn in traditional classrooms and often wondered why some students flourished while others were left behind.

Years later, after becoming an educator, I had the privilege of teaching students from diverse backgrounds—including neurodivergent learners, students with learning challenges, English language learners, and students who had lost confidence in themselves. Again and again, I witnessed something that transformed the way I viewed education: when students felt understood, supported, and genuinely engaged, they were capable of far more than anyone had imagined.

Those experiences inspired a question that became the foundation of my life's work:

What do learners carry forward from every educational experience?

That question ultimately led to the development of the Divine Vine Learning Framework™ and the Divine Vine Learning Cycle™—a research-informed approach that views education as more than the transfer of knowledge. It recognizes that every learning experience cultivates understanding, confidence, character, and the developmental assets that shape a person's future.

Today, Divine Vine Institute exists to help educators, schools, parents, and organizations cultivate meaningful learning experiences that empower individuals to grow intellectually, personally, and throughout their lives. My hope is to inspire a future where education nurtures not only what people know, but who they become.

Because every person has extraordinary potential—and when we intentionally cultivate that potential, lives are transformed.
